The UK Border Agency and schools require that all students, whose families live overseas, have a legal guardian resident in the UK to act for them when the school is closed and during other times such as illness, or when there is a need for disciplinary action.

Each school, and in particular your child’s housemaster or housemistress, takes responsibility for academic matters and day-to-day welfare during the school term. However there are times during the term and in particular outside term time, when the school must be able to hand over these responsibilities to a properly appointed legal Guardian. We also provide home stay placements for pupils at day-schools. Our host families are carefully vetted and matched with the child to ensure that your son/daughter is happy and comfortable.

Our service includes:
  • Acting as a legal guardian of your child whilst in the UK
  • 24 hour emergency telephone assistance
  • Arranging host family stays
  • Regular liaison between the school, the host family, student and parents 
  • Initial meeting and at least two visits per year, with a report to parents
  • Assistance with mobile phone and SIM cards
  • Booking flights and travel tickets as required

Additional services includes (available at an extra charge):
  • Cost of host family accommodation
  • Cost of transfers to and from host, school and airports 
  • Attendance at school parents' meetings and school events
  • Emergency or extra accommodation and transfers, such as university visits, illness and suspension from school
  • Guardianship during the summer and winter holidays
  • Arranging visit trips for students' parents
